As you can see below there are a lot of recreation baseball leagues in central Texas....but don't worry, that's good news for parents and kids. With so many different options there truly is a place for every kid.
For recreational league baseball the #1 factor is geography, what league is close to your house.
Some other factors that you should consider when picking the right league for your children are:
Where do their friends play?
How committed is your child to baseball?
How committed are you as a parent to baseball?
Is your child way ahead of other kids his age?
After you have thought about the answers to these questions let's talk about the differences between PONY and Little League (for this purpose, let's include the non-sanctioned leagues with PONY since their rules are pretty similar). To the right are several articles discussing this topic that you should read so that you can decide which one is the right fit for your child.
The Miracle League is at Town and Country Optimist. This is a baseball league for children with special needs.
What kind of child qualifies to play?
Basically, any child between the ages of 4 and 19 that cannot play in standard recreational baseball can play in the Miracle League. Typically, it is children with mental and/or physical disabilities.
